Question: Why do I need a Ranger PQ Recorder?
Answer: Single Cycle adaptive store provides a resolution down to 1 cycle on events. Other recorders require trigger levels or an set interval which is typically in several seconds to a minute. Other units provide a min max value set every interval, which is quite handy for power monitoring and load studies, however it is not suficient enough for troubleshooting.
Remember, in the US our frequency is 60hz which equates to 3600 cycles per second. Most power quality issues have a time duration much less than these intervals. ONLY Ranger has the PATENTED Single Cycle Adaptive Store method that allows users to get a resolution at durations much smaller, down to a single cycle even on recordings up to 2 weeks!
This resolution allows users to acquire information and cooralate it to load conditions to effectively solve issues. Other units may cost less initially, but if you factor in the time and labor needed to solve problems- Ranger stands above the rest for value. Remember a power monitor is NOT a power quality recorder!
Ranger PM7000 3 Phase with Neutral Power Quality Analyzer
POWER QUALITY, HARMONICS, AND FLICKER MONITOR |
The new Ranger PM7000 power analyzer and logger sets new standards with over 500 logging channels, and it is waterproof and rated at Category IV for maximum operator safety.
The PM7000 is used in a wide range of power measurement and analysis applications on industrial sites and by power distribution companies and regulatory authorities. Incidents such as motor start surges, transients, sag, flicker, notch, ring, negative sequence voltage, unbalance, etc are easily seen and can be measured in detail for several weeks.
It is light and portable as well as being self powered by A Phase, and can log eight inputs (four volts, four amps) at up to 20,480 samples per cycle in 60 Hz installations.
As well measuring and logging volts and current, the PM7000 analyzes a wide range of parameters including harmonics and the increasing problem of Flicker. Compliant to IEEE 1453.
Just as important as the industry leading PM7000 hardware, is the quick and easy to use PRONTO software. Every Ranger is supplied with PRONTO the well known display and reporting software which enables a quick and detailed appraisal of all the data collected.
The PM7000 is supplied with a Bluetooth enabled Pocket PC PDA for remote display and configuration before, during and after logging. There is also USB and USB Jump Drive connectivity. The PDA shows status, waveforms, trends, disturbance incidents 3D Bar, CBEMA, Severity Duration vs. Time, Harmonics, phasors and many more. |
